Why Wires?

Why Have focus upon dogs of a coat variety, why not the breed as a whole?

Ibizans are a relatively unknown breed. There are many fanciers, pet owners and breeders of course but they are not usually identifiable by the general population.
There are many websites and great information sources of the breed from a smooth standpoint. But there is a slowly emerging difference arising from the coat types, those varying in temperament to function.

There remains to be very few wires in North America, and around the world. But with the growing interest in the Rough variety, many fanciers believe it is more important than ever to get information out there about the finer points of the dogs in question as well to help preserve their health.

Reasoning can be varied, but for what it is worth these are just the tip of the iceburg.
